1.You can easily create an everyday summery look by simply pairing the polo with a nice pair of shorts. This is a really good way to incorporate the “printed” fashion trend into your look as well, a pair of printed shorts alongside a plain polo will look great. Again, this has the potential to incorporate another fashion style previously covered, “the short suit” this style can easily be created, you would just need to simply add a blazer to the look previously described above. The polo allows you to keep your options open so you have the choice between the footwear, you can either go smart and wear loafers or go all casual with trainers, the choice is yours.

2.A pop culture look can also easily be achieved by paring a neutral polo with a brightly coloured Harrington and Anchor alongside a nice pair of classic skinnies and again, a good set of loafers. The first thing to appreciate is that while there is quite some leeway in the definition of “formal”, the organisers are effectively requesting that you wear a suit. However, much of the detail after that is up to you.

Recently however, runway shows showcasing collections from such designers as Armani, D&G, and Prada, amongst many others, have fixated on one particular trend in men’s fashion accessories. That trend is the man’s brooch.

What was once rather commonly worn in bygone eras is now making a wide-sweeping comeback in the men’s fashion world. Brooches are suitable for summer or winter, spring or fall. They can go with dressy, formal attire as well as with a more casual ensemble.

A previous men’s collection was discontinued in 2002 as the brand chose to focus all its energies on the women’s line, but it has now been determined that the time is right for a dedicated men’s collection. Overstuffing Pockets

The most stylish, well-fitting jeans, chinos and jackets can be ruined by the tendency to cram as much in the pockets as possible.  You may need to carry around a phone, a wallet, house keys and car keys, but if your pockets are bulging at the seams with them, it is time to get a messenger bag.  Any man who does not think he would look good with a bag will look considerably worse with bulging or ripped clothes.

Taking it too Tight

Avoiding the Mirror

The Wrong Footwear

Flip flops are rarely permissible off the beach, and sandals should never see socks.  Smart jeans require smart footwear not tatty trainers, and suits demand polished Oxfords with undamaged soles.  A good pair of Vans will take you a long way.

First, men must take a look at the fabric. Wool is a classic, inexpensive choice. Cashmere is a more luxurious option but will cost more. Furthermore, cashmere requires greater maintenance than wool. Cotton is the cheapest and easiest option. Cotton is easy to maintain and is made thin – a great feature in dress socks. Cotton is often combined with other materials to give it a little more stretch and strength.

The next consideration should be colour. This will hinge on the colour of the suit the socks are to be paired with. A dark coloured suit requires dark socks. A light coloured suit requires light socks. However, the socks should be one or two shades darker than the suit itself. Men should always match their socks to the suit itself, rather than to the shoes. The only colour that must always be avoided is white. White coloured socks will not look good with any colour suit or shoes.

Men who are bold enough to look for textures and patterns in their socks must ensure that they do not choose socks that are too busy; they should try to match their socks with the suit so they do not clash. Regardless of the texture of the socks chosen, the socks should roughly match the texture of the suit. Silky socks should therefore be paired with silky suits and wool socks with rougher suits.

It is important for a man to consider more than just his clothing when preparing for a casual job interview. Tending to facial hair is a crucial component of overall fashion styling. For a casual interview, a cleanly shaven face or neatly trimmed beard is a desirable look.

In terms of clothing, a casual jacket will usually prove sufficient. For an informal job interview, it is not essential to wear a plain or solid coloured shirt under a jacket. Having freshly cut hair can add an air of polish to an applicant’s look at a formal interview. Hair that has recently been cut will look neat, fresh and professional. 

Professionalism is the key to picking clothing for a formal interview. Solid and conservative colours are better than flashy touches. It is not necessary or wise to choose a tie that is eye-catching and bright. Simple can be better, especially in this case.

A few little touches can help an interviewee to get noticed. These small details may not be noticed by everyone, but those who do notice will respect the wearer’s fashion sense. For example, a pocket square with a square fold can be added to a jacket’s pocket. Jackets should only have two or three buttons and the sleeves should not extend past the knuckles. However, exposing just a little shirt cuff at the sleeves can complete the look.

Many men may hold the misconception that purchasing a tailored shirt is difficult and expensive. In reality, purchasing a shirt that fits properly in the first instance eliminates the need for tailoring.

Firstly, a man should ensure that their chosen shirt fits well in the neck and shoulders. If the neck and shoulders do not fit correctly, the rest of the shirt will not fit in the way that a man desires. The collar should feel snug but not uncomfortable. The sleeves of a shirt should be long enough to cover the arms completely. Purchasing a shirt with sleeves that are a little short is not recommended. Sleeves can always be made shorter so men should ensure that the sleeves fit adequately or are just a little longer than is necessary.
