When summer comes some men move into their casual clothing with baggy shorts, jeans, t-shirts and vest top, but what do you do if those looks that are in men’s fashion are too casual for your liking. You may not want to look like your heading to the beach when you go out during the day and certainly don’t want to look like you have come from the beach on a night out.

Well there are some styles that stay in no matter what fashion takes, those classic style fit for any occasion, most of these styles transit well from autumn/winter to spring/summer by keeping similar tailoring and fit but using lighter summer materials.

Shirts are always good no matter what time of year it is and many new styles that are coming out are ideal for summer because they are made from a lighter more breathable cotton, ditch the black favoured in winter and instead opt for a crisp white shirt or pale blue for a smart summer look perfect with smart jeans. For an evening look, funk it up by adding a waistcoat instead of a jacket and a cool trilby hat.

If the heavy shoes/boots that you have been accustomed to wearing over winter are just a bit too hot for summer opt for a smart plimsoll lighter than shoes but less casual than trainers or flip-flops!
