For the past few seasons military chic has been popping up for spring /summer and autumn/winter, so it’s no surprise that it’s in again this season, but this time the military chic has turned into a more wearable, utility trend that’s dominating women’s clothing.

This new utility trend also does not have to be as casual as military with great tailoring that can be more structured, so it’s a trend you can wear for casual daywear or smarter for evening.
The popular dark green, khaki and earthy colours that feature in this trend are great to pick out for spring/summer but also to take you into autumn with dark green being a key colour, so for summer mix and match the darker colours with some light beige and sand colours and then opt for darker browns as we head into autumn.

If you want to take this look for an evening, opt for tailored trousers in darker shades of khaki and wear with rich colourful tops for a great contrast, earth colours do look good, with bronze, gold’s and burnt orange, but also rich blues.
